Tinubu Names Gov Caleb Mutfwang, Soludo, Others For Nigeria-Canada Investment Mission

President Bola Tinubu has approved a high-powered delegation led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila to the maiden Nigeria Diaspora Investment Economic Conference, NDIEC, in Toronto, Canada.

 

The announcement was made Thursday by NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Abdur-Rahman Balogun.

 

Members of the delegation include Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno, Charles Soludo of Anambra, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, and Dauda Lawal of Zamfara.

 

Also on the team are the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu; Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; and Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

 

Representatives of the CBN, Customs, Immigration, FIRS, NIPC, NEPC, and NITDA are also included.

 

The August 12-15, 2026 conference, themed “Invest Nigeria, Thrive Abroad,” aims to connect global investors to opportunities in key sectors and deepen Nigeria-Canada economic ties.

 

It is organised by NiDCOM in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa and the Canadian High Commission in Abuja.

 

Canadian officials expected include Treasury Board President, Hon. Shafqat Ali, and Brampton Mayor, Patrick Brown.
